The question
Real craft hear each other over a delayed, lossy radio link, so the corridor is drawn from an out-of-date picture. Where do the rules break?
What was tested
60 runs on a poor link (one update per second, half the messages lost, 2 seconds old), with and without a storm; then full-strength dodging and a corridor drawn from the craft's announced planned path.
What was found then
Ordinary losses stayed within tolerance, though high. The emergency craft was lost in 2 of 5 runs on the link and 5 of 5 with a storm (without priority: 0 of 5 and 2 of 5). The explanation offered: at 32 m/s a 2-second-old position is 64 m off. Full-strength dodging brought its losses to the no-priority level while it stayed on time. The planned-path corridor did not fix the link case (3 of 5 lost), so it was left off.
What we learned later
'The announced path adds nothing' was softened to what five runs can show; with storm plus link, the planned-path corridor had in fact improved on the calm set (from 5 of 5 lost to 2 of 5).
research/design/prio_stage_close.md §3 (intent tube)
The restored dodging goes together with survival in these five-run cases; it is not shown to be the cause.
research/design/prio_stage_close.md §3
The out-of-date-picture explanation was withdrawn: the code already draws the corridor from where the others hear the craft.

What changed
The 'link set' (the calm set plus full-strength own dodging) became the working setting. A switch for the planned-path corridor was added and kept off.
