The question

The design proposed giving each class of craft its own height band. This test asked what happens if the classes are mixed.

What was tested

Small, cargo and heavy craft flew together in one height band.

What was found then

Mixing went badly. The closest approach fell to 0.22 of the required spacing (below 1 means a safety bubble was entered), and there were 2,152 close calls. The conclusion drawn at the time was that classes must be separated by height.

What changed

Nothing.
